From Ādam to Muḥammad ﷺ — Seal of the Prophets

Allah created Ādam from clay, taught him the names of all things, and honoured him above the angels. After his slip in the Garden he turned back to Allah in repentance and was forgiven — the first lesson of mercy given to humankind.

Praised in the Qur'an for his truthfulness and patience, Idrīs was raised by Allah to a high station. He called an early generation back to worship of the One God.

For centuries Nūḥ called his people night and day, gently and openly, and few believed. He built the Ark by Allah's command, and through him and those with him life on earth began again.

Hūd was sent to ʿĀd, a people of great strength and towering buildings who grew arrogant. He invited them to worship Allah alone and to remember that all power is a loan.

Ṣāliḥ came to Thamūd, carvers of houses in the mountains. A she-camel was given as a clear sign and a trust; when they killed it, their denial was complete.

Ibrāhīm reasoned his way past idols to the Lord of the heavens, was thrown into fire and kept safe, left his family in a barren valley trusting Allah, and raised the Kaʿbah with his son Ismāʿīl.

Lūṭ warned a city sunk in open indecency and cruelty to guests. He and the believers with him were rescued, a reminder that Allah's mercy reaches the few who hold firm.

The elder son of Ibrāhīm, praised as true to his promise. He submitted willingly when tested, helped build the Kaʿbah, and from his line came the final Prophet ﷺ.

Born to Ibrāhīm and Sārah in old age, Isḥāq was a prophet of goodness and blessing, and the father of Yaʿqūb.

Yaʿqūb bore the long loss of Yūsuf with beautiful patience, teaching his sons never to despair of the relief of Allah.

Thrown into a well, sold, tempted, imprisoned unjustly — and raised by Allah to authority in Egypt. When his brothers stood before him he said: no blame upon you today.

Tested in body, wealth, and family, Ayyūb never complained of his Lord — only called upon Him. Allah restored to him more than was taken.

Sent to Madyan, Shuʿayb joined worship of Allah to honesty in the marketplace: give full measure, and do not spread corruption in the land.

Raised in Pharaoh's palace, called at the blessed valley, sent with nine signs to the greatest tyrant of his age, he led his people through a parted sea and received the Torah.

Answering his brother's prayer, Allah made Hārūn a prophet and support. His gentle speech steadied a difficult people.

The Qur'an names him among the patient and the excellent — a prophet whose quiet endurance Allah chose to praise.

Given the Zabūr and a voice so beautiful that the mountains and birds echoed his praise, Dāwūd judged between people with justice and fasted often in gratitude.

Given a kingdom unlike any other — the wind, the jinn, the speech of birds — Sulaymān answered every gift with: my Lord, help me to be grateful.

Ilyās stood against the worship of Baʿl, calling his people back to the Lord who created them and their forefathers.

A successor in the line of Ilyās, named by Allah among those He chose and preferred over the worlds of their time.

In the darkness of the sea he called out: there is no god but You, glory be to You, I have been among the wrongdoers. Allah answered him, and saves the believers in the same way.

Old and without an heir, he prayed quietly for a child — and was given Yaḥyā, a sign that Allah hears what no one else can hear.

Given wisdom while still a boy, Yaḥyā was granted peace on the day he was born, the day he died, and the day he will be raised.

Born of the virgin Maryam by Allah's command, he spoke in the cradle, healed by Allah's permission, was given the Injīl, and called people to worship Allah alone. Muslims love him as one of the mightiest messengers.

The final Messenger, sent to all people with the Qur'an. Known as Al-Amīn before revelation, he taught mercy, justice, and the worship of one God — and his character remains the living explanation of the Book.
