His story
Al-Yasaʿ continued the mission of Ilyās among the Children of Israel. The Qur'an names him twice: once among those Allah guided and preferred over the worlds of their time, and once among the outstanding.
Little detail is preserved about him, and that itself is instructive: the Qur'an is not a book of biographies but of guidance. What matters is that he was chosen, he was righteous, and he carried the same message of pure monotheism.
